The FA Cup on Setanta Sports Canada




TORONTO (January 5, 2011) – Arsenal and Leeds United clash at Emirates Stadium Saturday, January 8 at 7 a.m. ET/4 a.m. PT in the first of seven FA Cup matches this weekend exclusively on Setanta Sports.

The Arsenal versus Leeds match is the first of six live FA Cup matches over three days on Setanta:

Scunthorpe United v Everton Saturday, January 8 @ 9:45 a.m. ET (LIVE!)
Stevenage v Newcastle United Saturday, January 8 @ 12:30 p.m. ET (LIVE!)
Sheffield United v Aston Villa Saturday, January 8 @ 6:15 p.m. ET (same day)
Burton Albion v Middlesbrough Saturday, January 8 @ 8 p.m. ET (same day)
Manchester United v Liverpool Sunday, January 9 @ 8 a.m. ET (LIVE!)
Leicester City v Manchester City Sunday, January 9 @ 11 a.m. ET (LIVE!)
Crawley v Derby County Monday, January 10 @ 3 p.m. ET (LIVE!)

The only 3rd round match-up featuring two clubs from England’s top league pits Premier League leaders Manchester United against long-time rival Liverpool. United last won The FA Cup in 2004 their record 11th title in team history. Liverpool has captured The FA Cup seven times last hoisting the trophy in 2006 after winning on penalties over West Ham United.

Stevenage has arguably the tallest order of the third round They face Premier League squad Newcastle United in a David versus Goliath match-up. Stevenage plays in the fourth tier of English football (Football League Two). The Boro, as they are know to their supporters, Stevenage was promoted to the Football League for the very first time in their history after they captured the Blue Square Bet Premier crown last season.

The FA Cup began in the summer of 2010 with 759 clubs from England and Wales vying for the title won last season by Chelsea.
